Brainchild Entertainment today announced its launch as a new children's entertainment company focused on building enduring, culturally relevant franchises for the next generation of young audiences. The company launches with $100 million in committed capital from Integrated Media Company (IMC), a leading investment platform deploying capital across the digital landscape, with the ability to scale significantly beyond that.

Brainchild Entertainment is built on the conviction that children's appetite for great stories has never been stronger. As families increasingly discover and engage with characters across platforms, a new opportunity has emerged to build the next generation of global children's franchises. The company combines creative ambition and deep expertise in omni-platform distribution. Its focus is to develop and amplify beloved, enduring, trusted IP grounded in a research-led learning framework; then build those franchises across video, consumer products, gaming, publishing, and live experiences.

Brainchild Entertainment is led by co-founders Michael Carroll and Fletcher Williams, alongside founding team members Adina Pitt and Tara Day. Together, the team brings decades of experience developing, growing, and scaling some of the most recognized properties in children's media including Peppa Pig, Transformers, Cocomelon, Lego Ninjago, Barney, Care Bears, Bakugan, and Blippi.

  • Michael Carroll, Co-Founder and CEO: An early team member at WildBrain Spark (formerly WildBrain) and Moonbug Entertainment, Michael has spent more than a decade helping leading children's brands bridge traditional media and digital platforms. Working across franchises including Paw Patrol, LEGO DUPLO, and Thomas & Friends, he has developed innovative commercial models spanning YouTube, streaming, and consumer products. At Moonbug, he built the company's global brand partnerships business as it transformed digital-native IP into global franchises, contributing to its growth before its acquisition by Candle Media.
  • Fletcher Williams, Co-Founder and COO: An early key team member at Moonbug Entertainment, he led the acquisitions of many of their IPs, including Blippi, and developed their post-acquisition strategies. Subsequently, he served as Head of Acquisitions and Strategy at Voldex, the leading UGC game developer on Roblox and other game platforms. He formerly held roles at Paramount as Vice President, Sales Strategy for the Global Content Distribution group, and at NBCU. He has developed a deep fluency in how children's IP travels across YouTube, traditional, digital, gaming, and interactive platforms.
  • Adina Pitt, Managing Director, Content: Adina leads IP development at Brainchild, identifying and building the franchises at the center of the company's strategy. Previously she spent 16 years at Warner Bros. Discovery as Vice President of Content Acquisitions, Partnerships and Co-Productions for Kids and Family, where she set content strategy and led acquisitions for series, specials, movies, and short-form product that fit WBD Kids and Family brands for exposure across all platforms, helping to build countless hits including Lego Ninjago, Barney, Care Bears, Garfield, and Total Drama Island. She previously served as Vice President of Acquisitions at Nickelodeon, developing acquisition strategy across its portfolio including Nicktoons, Nick Jr, and Noggin, with earlier roles at HBO. Her judgment on what makes great kids content has been recognized with multiple awards including Animation Magazine's Hall of Fame Award, and she serves on various industry boards, including as Chair of the Nominating Committee for the International Academy of Television Arts & Sciences.
  • Tara Day, Managing Director, Platforms: Tara leads platform strategy and distribution at Brainchild, responsible for building audiences that help to turn great content into beloved franchises. She is a digital media executive with more than a decade of experience building global audiences for some of the world's most recognized children's brands. Formerly Vice President of Global Consumer Engagement at Hasbro and Vice President of Digital, Family & Brands at Entertainment One, she built and led the company's YouTube and audience development strategy across franchises including Peppa Pig, My Little Pony, Transformers, and Play-Doh, overseeing a global network of more than 150 million YouTube subscribers. An early pioneer of audience growth and content strategy for children's brands on YouTube, she brings deep platform expertise to how Brainchild's franchises reach families at scale.

"Children's media has undergone a profound shift since the days when networks like Nickelodeon and Cartoon Network determined which stories reached a global audience," said Ben Loffredo, Principal at IMC. "Today there is no single tastemaker; the market has fragmented into countless communities, formats, and viewing habits with successful characters and IPs traveling rapidly across languages and geographies. We believe that the next generation of major global kids' franchises will be born online and we are thrilled to partner with the Brainchild team to bring them to life."

"The ways children engage with content will continue to change," said Michael Carroll, co-founder and CEO of Brainchild Entertainment. "What doesn't change is their love of great stories and memorable characters. We believe there's enormous demand for new high-quality children's franchises that isn't being met. Brainchild is built to close that gap."

"Building franchises today takes people who understand every stage of the journey, from development and production to audience growth, licensing, and global distribution," said Fletcher Williams, co-founder and COO of Brainchild Entertainment. "We've assembled a team that has helped shape some of the world's biggest children's brands, with each person bringing a unique perspective from across both traditional and digital media. Together, that gives us the experience to build franchises that can thrive regardless of how the media landscape evolves."
